Actually, there are more Jews living in Israel than living in the United States. Believe it or not (And you can't believe Desert Schmuck) that means there are certainly more Jews in Israel than in the State of New York.

The part I think is the very best of Israel becoming the home of the most Jews in the world is this. Throughout history whichever nation had the most Jews became the most prosperous. You see it in America, Germany, the UK, Spain etc etc etc right back to the time of at least the second temple. Over and over where the Jews go follows prosperity for the host nation. I don’t know whether it is G-d or the work ethic and will to succeed that is the reason that history shows this over and over, probably both.
Now that Israel has become the center for Judaism it will be interesting to see what wonders await the nation of Israel and how many will share in the prosperity of the tiny nation state.

I've thought desertputz would sound better. But schmuck covers it pretty well also.

This is a horrible story that made me laugh it really appealed to the cruel side and the funny side all at the same time.

It would seem that some would rather have safety than their own homeland. Many Americans feel they would rather have security and fewer freedoms.
Jews, like all other reasonable rationale people have their own reasons for what they do.
Would you rather they be like the 100's of millions of islamic fascists who obey some Imam like a new Hitler?
