A most 'Bizarre' Palestinian statement
(Italics by Ibraham Av)

A Public Statement from the Free Palestine Alliance
on Current Palestinian Developments
and their Impact on the Palestinian American Community

UNITED STATES, OCTOBER 2006 - The Free Palestine Alliance (FPA) regards the increasingly dangerous situation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip as detrimental to the struggle of the Arab people as a whole and to the Palestinian people in particular. The earlier dangerous situation wasn't detrimental? We hold accountable before our people each person responsible for denigrating decades of struggle. But you elected Hamas. What did you expect? Specifically, we hold the Democratically elected president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmud Abbas, and his band of supporters responsible for the grave conditions to which they have led the Palestinian people What happened to Hamas?.

All political parties that constitute the anchors of the Palestinian liberation movement should multiply their efforts to place the Palestinian movement back on its rightful track of liberation based on the principles enunciated in the founding National Charter of the Palestine Liberation Organization. But they are too busy trying to kill each other off. Delays in this critical effort also leave those in the leadership of the various parties responsible for this unbearable deterioration. The current Palestinian Authority government under Hamas should spare no effort in safeguarding the unity and well-being of the Palestinian people from all assaults and escalating dangers. But they can't. They are too busy trying to figure out a way to destroy Israel. That allows no time for the innocent Palestinian people. ... the FPA cautions against any rush to a forced "unity" at the expense of Palestinian and Arab fundamental rights. We are wary that the formation of a Palestinian "National Unity Government" would likely be dangerously used by malicious functionaries as another mechanism to further solidify the Oslo Accords, strengthen the choke-hold on the Palestinian Arab People, and liquidate the primary anchors of the Palestinian movement.

Hold it! Weren't they just screaming about needing unity? Or is unity meaningless unless it is slavish devotion to Hamas?

This piece of BS was brought to you by Chris Ledbetter, a well known antisemite.

alas. what i'm going to be so amused by is, when the 2-state solution eventually goes through, and then the palestinians are faced with how crap their govt really is, and how little they actually care about them, they're going to blame israel, because, of course, the current state of affairs would've been brought on by some zionist plot...GAH.

But then everything wrong in the world is the fault of Israel or the Jews. We are behind every misfortune that has beset the world for the last 3500 years.

Well... I would just go on to another, probably antisemitic blog of arab interest, and wreak havoc.

Or go to a pro-Israeli blog for source material (if it checks out).

No Mr. Lies, I AM your conscience looking at you right here from your computer screen. See me Mr. Lies, yes, it is me your conscience telling you to start treating people the way you yourself would wish to be treated. That is with respect and exemplifying the faith you profess to practice and believe in.
